WIP Colt Handgun

Just some work I am doing for my BFA. I am planning to put more embellishments, but for now I am getting the groundwork laid in to make my life easier later. I am planning to have the trigger and the back portion of the safety grip be copper/brass and the rest of the gun I am still deciding. I think it would look silly if it was all copper. What do you guys think? any ideas while its at this stage?
