There are two versions, the first one is found here: http://pfsketchblog.blogspot.com. basically the first one is a prop in an illustration I am currently working on. this one with the blood spatters will be the third installment of a series. essentially the first one will depict a soldier looking at a picture of his beloved in a foxhole. second will show a battle going on and him holding up one of his comrades. the third will be this picture, and the fourth will be a casket with a flag draped over it. There were many more installments in the series that I would like to do but I simply do not have the time to finish them all before the deadline.

with this one- the blood seems a little calculated, maybe make the center of the splatter closer to the bottom so it's off the format and try desaturating it a little...
ReplyDeletealso- a crease in the center could be fun- I know they often folded and un-folded those pictures...
very nice, though, Preston!
