I love the color and the depth of the image. I just feel it may be a little to loose. I think it would read better if you tightened it up just a little.
You might try putting some holes in the canopies of the trees to break up those big shapes- Also- you could give the trees shadows to tie the trees and people together so it isn't so spotty. It also seems a little inconsistent to have line in some people but nowhere in the background. I think it would be stronger with no line at all. I'd love to see it animated! That's really cool!
